What problems does an FSC repair pack fix?
An FSC repair pack restores the original BMW security certificates tied to your VIN. It helps when:
- ✓ A map update asks for an FSC code but keeps rejecting valid codes
- ✓ Navigation activation fails or navigation is greyed out
- ✓ FSC certificates were deleted during coding, flashing, or head unit replacement
- ✓ You retrofitted a used head unit and need factory certificates back
- ✓ Map updates stop at the activation step
This is not a single map-update code. It is the full OEM repair kit with all factory FSC files for your vehicle.

Install with your own tools
The ZIP contains OEM FSC files for your VIN. You install them using BMW coding software (see requirements below).

Do I need special tools to use the files?
Files only — installation not included
You receive a digital ZIP with OEM FSC repair files for your VIN. Installing them requires your own equipment and software, for example:
- • Windows PC and ENET or K+DCAN cable (model-dependent)
- • BMW engineering tools such as E-Sys, Tool32, or FS-Tool
- • Basic knowledge of BMW head-unit coding
VinFSC does not include remote installation unless arranged separately. Unsure if this product fits your situation? Ask us before paying.
What is in the ZIP file?
Your repair pack contains OEM FSC files from the official BMW database for your VIN, including certificates and related files (FSC, DER, SIG, XML depending on system).
You can use these files to restore deleted certificates or generate new map activation codes with an FSC code generator.
Repair packs vs single map codes: A €15–20 map code activates one map update. Our repair pack restores the full certificate set for your vehicle — required after head unit swaps or certificate loss.
